Travel restrictions update for Bulgaria

  • Imposed entry restrictions for passengers who arrive from or have been in Bhutan, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka.
    Until 31 July 2021, passengers arriving from Angola, Bangladesh, Botswana, Brazil, Burundi, Bhutan, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Comoros, Congo (Dem. Rep.), Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eswatini (Swaziland), Ghana, India, Kenya, Lesotho, Libya, Malawi, Maldives, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mayotte, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, Pakistan, Reunion, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Seychelles, South Africa, Sri Lanka, St. Helena, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia or Zimbabwe are not allowed to enter.
    - This does not apply to family members of nationals and residents of Bulgaria.
    - This does not apply to passengers with:
    -- a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 72 hours before arrival, written in Latin characters; or
    -- a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken at most 48 hours before arrival, written in Latin characters; or
    -- a positive COVID-19 PCR or rapid antigen test taken at least 15 days and at most 180 days before arrival; or
    -- a COVID-19 vaccination certificate stating that they received the vaccine at least 14 days before arrival. Vaccines accepted are: AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), AZD1222 (SK Bioscience Co Ltd.), Covieshield, Janssen, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm, Sinovac and Sputnik V.
