Travel restrictions of Bulgaria

  • Entry restrictions
    Passengers are not allowed to enter until 30 April 2021.
    - This does not apply to spouses and children of nationals of Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Vatican City (Holy See).
    - This does not apply to spouses and children of passengers with a residence permit issued by Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland or Vatican City (Holy See).
    - This does not apply to passengers with a "D" visa issued by Bulgaria, and their family members.
    - This does not apply to passengers traveling as students.
    - This does not apply to deadheading crew.

    Passengers must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result. The test must have been taken at most 72 hours before arrival. The certificate must contain passengers details, name of the laboratory, the test method, and the test result written in Latin characters.
    - This does not apply to spouses and children of nationals of Bulgaria.

  • Quarantine is possible
    Passengers could be subject to Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test and quarantine for 10 days.

    Family members of nationals or residents of Bulgaria without a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result of a test taken at most 72 hours before arrival are subject to:
    - Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test within 24 hours of arrival; or
    - quarantine for 10 days.
