    - This does not apply to spouses or children of nationals of Japan if they can prove it.
    - This does not apply to passengers with a visa issued by Japan outside Japan. The date of issue must be later than the date when the country of issue was designated by Japan as an area subject to landing denial (details can be found at http://www.moj.go.jp/isa/content/001347332.pdf ).
    - This does not apply to passengers with a single or multiple-entry visa issued on or before 2 April 2020 by Japanese Embassies or Consulates General in Australia, New Zealand and Taipei Kaohsiung offices of Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association.
    - This does not apply to passengers with an Olympic Identity and Accreditation Card (OIAC) or Paralympic Identity and Accreditation Card (PIAC) (including cards in Pre-Valid Card (PVC) format). They must also have a Written Pledge.
    - This does not apply to passengers with an Invitation Letter issued by Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee and a "Prior Consent Form" to the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (MEXT).
