22.04.2020 17:38: updated flights restrictions for all international flights.
Flights to the United Arab Emirates are suspended.
This does not apply to the following:
- aircraft operated for the purpose of evacuation (this Safety Decision does not alleviate the need for obtaining necessary authorisation from UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation);
- UAE registered aircraft that are out of base on 24 March 2020 23:59 Local Time will be allowed to return to base carrying only UAE nationals and operator’s crewmembers;
- over-flights.
Airlines are required to contact the UAE National Advance Information Center for prior approval before boarding.
ALL Evacuation flights must have PAX APP data and Crew APP data; ALL ferry flights must have Crew APP data.

Flights to United Arab Emirates are suspended from 24 March 2020 23:59 Local Time until further notice.
This does not apply to the following:
a) aircraft operated for the purpose of evacuation (this Safety Decision does not alleviate the need for obtaining necessary authorisation from UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation);
b) UAE registered aircraft that are out of base on 24 March 2020 23:59 Local Time will be allowed to return to base carrying only UAE nationals and operator’s crewmembers;
c) domestic flights;
d) over-flights.
Airlines are required to contact the UAE National Advance Information Center for prior approval before boarding.

This does not apply to the following:

31.03.2020 21:42: updated flights restrictions for all international flights.
Flights to United Arab Emirates are suspended from 24 March 2020 23:59 Local Time until 7 April 2020 23:59 Local Time.
This does not apply to the following:
1. aircrafts in state of emergency as per international standards;
2. operations related to medical flights for the purpose of carrying UAE nationals only (all crew on-board shall be subject to covid-19 related public health authority requirements unless crews leave UAE territory);
3. technical landing where passengers do not disembark;
4. humanitarian/medevac/repatriation/evacuation flights having necessary authorization from UAE ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation;
5. UAE registered aircraft that are out of base prior to 24 march 2020 19:59 will be allowed to return to base carrying only UAE nationals and operators crewmembers;
6. domestic flights;
7. over-flights.
Airlines are required to contact the UAE National Advance Information Center for prior approval before boarding.


24.03.2020 22:16: imposed flights restrictions: all international flights are suspended.
Flights to United Arab Emirates are suspended from 24 March 2020 23:59 Local Time until 9 April 2020 23:59 Local Time.
This does not apply to the following:
a) aircraft operated for the purpose of evacuation (this Safety Decision does not alleviate the need for obtaining necessary authorisation from UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation);

21.03.2020 12:58: updated entry restrictions.
Passengers are not allowed to enter United Arab Emirates.
This does not apply to family members (including father, mother, son, daughter, wife, husband, grandparents, grandchildren and domestic helpers) of nationals of United Arab Emirates. They must travel together.


19.03.2020 15:48: updated entry restrictions for passengers who arrive from or have been in Italy.
Passengers arriving from Italy must have departed from Fiumicino (FCO) or Ciampino (CIA). All passengers and crew must go through a COVID-19 screening process.

Passengers arriving from China (People's Rep.) must have departed from Beijing (PEK). All passengers and crew must go through a COVID-19 screening process.


19.03.2020 15:48: extended entry restrictions: imposed total entry ban.
Passengers are not allowed to enter United Arab Emirates.
This does not apply to family members (including father, mother, son, daughter, wife, husband, grandparents, grandchildren and domestic helpers) of nationals of United Arab Emirates. They must travel together. Airlines are required to contact the local immigration for prior approval before boarding.
Visas issued before 17 March 2020 by United Arab Emirates have been invalidated.

16.03.2020 06:30: imposed forced isolation for passengers who arrive from or have been in Iran, Korea (Rep.).
Passengers who are visa exempt or eligible for visa on arrival traveling as tourist and arriving from China (People's Rep.), Iran, Italy or Korea (Rep.) are required to be in quarantine for 4 days and be re-examined after 4 days.
