  • Entry restrictions
    Suspension of visa on arrival facilities for passengers traveling as tourists.

    Passengers must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result taken at most 96 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. The test result must be in English or approved by an Iranian consulate.
    - This does not apply to passengers younger than 8 years.
    - This does not apply to passengers arriving from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain or Sweden with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 15 days before arrival.
    - This does not apply to passengers who have transited through Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain or Sweden and have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 15 days before arrival.

    Passengers must complete a "Self-Declaration Form" form before arrival available at https://www.cao.ir/ ; and- must complete a "pledge form" before arrival.

  • Ban entry for passengers who arrive from or during last 14 days have been in Botswana, Brazil, India, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal, South Africa, Swaziland, Uruguay, Zambia, Zimbabwe
    Passengers arriving from Botswana, Brazil, Eswatini, India, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal, South Africa, Uruguay, Zambia or Zimbabwe are not allowed to enter.

    Passengers who in the past 14 days have been in or transited for more than 4 hours through Botswana, Brazil, Eswatini, India, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal, South Africa, Uruguay, Zambia or Zimbabwe are not allowed to enter.

  • Quarantine is possible
    Passengers are subject to medical screening; and could be subject to COVID-19 test and quarantine.

  • Forced isolation for passengers who arrive from or have been in Argentina, Bolivia, Cabo Verde, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Egypt, Lithuania, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Namibia, Paraguay, Peru, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia
    Passengers arriving from Argentina, Bolivia, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Egypt, Lithuania, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Namibia, Paraguay, Peru, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago or Tunisia are subject to COVID-19 test upon arrival and quarantine at their own expense.
    - This does not apply to passengers arriving from Lithuania with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 15 days before arrival.
    - This does not apply to passengers who have transited through Lithuania with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 15 days before arrival.
