Passengers must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result issued at most 72 hours before arrival. The certificate must be in Arabic or English.
- This does not apply to passengers arriving directly at Sharm El Sheikh (SSH), Hurghada (HRG), Taba (TCP), Marsa Alam (RMF), Mersa Matruh (MUH) airports and staying in the South Sinai region.

Except for aircraft in state of emergency, all other exemptions flights must obtain a pre-authorization from the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority.

Passengers are not allowed to enter Egypt until 31 March 2020.


[before 12th March 2020]: imposed quarantine policy for passengers who arrive from or have been in Bahrain, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Japan, Korea (Rep.), Kuwait, Macao, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan (Chinese Taipei), Thailand, Vietnam.
Passengers who have been in Bahrain, China (People's Rep.), Chinese Taipei, France, Germany, Hong Kong (SAR China), Iran, Iraq, Italy, Japan, Korea (Rep.), Kuwait, Macao (SAR China), Malaysia, Singapore, Switzerland, Spain Thailand or Vietnam will be screened upon arrival, and:
- must present a completed “Health Observation Card, upon arrival, and
- will be followed up for a period of 14 days.
Before arrival of the flight, carriers must complete and present a “Notifying Form" to the General Quarantine administration.
