Travel restrictions updates for Brazil

06.07.2020 17:24: imposed airports operations restrictions: some airports are closed or restrictions for operations of airports has been imposed.
Passengers must arrive at one of the following airports: Brasilia DF (BSB), Rio de Janeiro (GIG), Sao Paulo Guarulhos (GRU), Sao Paulo Viracopos (VCP).


06.07.2020 17:24: slacken entry restrictions.
Passengers are not allowed to enter until 29 July 2020.
- This does not apply to immediate family member of a national of Brazil. Spouses of a national of Brazil must have a Brazilian marriage certificate. If the certificate is not issued by Brazil, it must be apostilled by a consulate. A non-official translation in Portuguese is also required.
- This does not apply to passengers traveling on business.

Passengers must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) test result.


23.06.2020 13:14: updated entry restrictions.
Passengers are not allowed to enter until 4 July 2020.
- This does not apply to immediate family member of a national of Brazil. Spouses of a national of Brazil must have a Brazilian marriage certificate. If the certificate is not issued by Brazil, it must be apostilled by a consulate. A non-official translation in Portuguese is also required.


15.05.2020 09:46: updated entry restrictions.
Passengers are not allowed to enter Brazil.
This does not apply to:
- nationals and residents of Brazil;
- immediate family member of a national of Brazil. Spouses of a national of Brazil must have a Brazilian marriage certificate. If the certificate is not issued by Brazil, it must be apostilled by a consulate. A non-official translation in Portuguese is also required;
- passengers with an authorization issued by Brazilian Government;
- passengers with a National Migration Registry;
- technical landing to refuel where passengers of restricted nationalities are not disembarking;
- passengers in international transit if they do not leave the international area of the airport and the country of destination admits their entry.

Passengers are not allowed to enter Brazil.
This does not apply to:
- Nationals of Brazil;
- Passengers who reside in Brazil;
- Foreign professionals in a mission in the service of an international body, if it is duly identified;
- Foreign employee accredited to the Brazilian Government;
- Immediate family member of a national of Brazil;
- Passengers with an authorization issued by Brazilian Government;

30.03.2020 02:42: extended entry restrictions: imposed total entry ban.
Passengers are not allowed to enter Brazil.
This does not apply to:
- Nationals of Brazil;
- Passengers who reside in Brazil;
- Foreign professionals in a mission in the service of an international body, provided that it is duly identified;
- Foreign employee accredited to the Brazilian Government;
- Immediate family member of a national of Brazil;
- Passengers with an authorization issued by Brazilian Government;
- Passengers with a National Migration Registry.


25.03.2020 08:48: imposed ban entry for passengers who arrive from or have been in Iran.
This does not apply to:
- Foreign professionals in a mission in the service of an international body, provided that it is duly identified;
- Foreign employee accredited to the Brazilian Government;
- Immediate family member of a national of Brazil;
- Passengers with an authorization issued by Brazilian Government;
- Passengers with a National Migration Registry.


25.03.2020 08:48: updated entry restrictions for passengers who arrive from or have been in Australia, China, Iceland, Japan, Korea (Rep.), Malaysia, Norway, Schengen Area, Switzerland, United Kingdom.
This does not apply to:
- Foreign professionals in a mission in the service of an international body, provided that it is duly identified;
- Foreign employee accredited to the Brazilian Government;
- Immediate family member of a national of Brazil;
- Passengers with an authorization issued by Brazilian Government;
- Passengers with a National Migration Registry.


23.03.2020 11:38: imposed ban entry for passengers who arrive from or have been in Australia, China, Iceland, Japan, Korea (Rep.), Malaysia, Norway, Schengen Area, Switzerland, United Kingdom.
This does not apply to:
-nationals of Brazil;
-immigrants with prior residence permit in Brazilian territory;
-foreign professionals in a mission in the service of an international body, provided that it is duly identified;
-foreign officials accredited to the Brazilian Government;
-passengers arriving for a family reunion with a born or naturalized national of Brazil;
-passengers whose entry is specifically authorized by the Brazilian Government in view of the public interest;
-holders of National Immigration Registration
-airline crew
