  • Entry restrictions
    Passengers must have an approval from the Foreign Ministry of Sri Lanka by sending an email to: entry.permission@mfa.gov.lk .
    - This does not apply to dual nationals of Sri Lanka staying in a designated quarantine hotel.
    - This does not apply to passengers traveling as tourists.

    Passengers arriving via "Sri Lanka Tourism" must obtain an approval at https://www.srilanka.travel/helloagain/ .

    Passengers must have a printed negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. The test result must be in English.
    - This does not apply to passengers younger than 2 years.

    A completed "Health Declaration Form" must be presented upon arrival. The form can be obtained at https://www.caa.lk/en/special-notices-for-covid-19 or upon arrival.

    Passengers are subject to a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival.

  • Ban entry for passengers who arrive from or during last 14 days have been in Angola, Argentina, Bolivia, Botswana, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, India, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Paraguay, Peru, South Africa, Suriname, Swaziland, Uruguay, Venezuela, Zambia, Zimbabwe
    Passengers arriving from Angola, Argentina, Bolivia, Botswana, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Eswatini, French Guiana, Guyana, India, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Paraguay, Peru, South Africa, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela, Zambia or Zimbabwe are not allowed to enter.

  • Quarantine is possible
    This does not apply to passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks before departure, if the result of the COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival is negative. The certificate must be in English or with a certified translation to English.
